My dad, Marvin Mabbutt, was one of the early rockhounds in the American west. He put down the first set of tire tracks on roads that are now maintained by the county. And he picked up a lot of beautiful agates and jaspers back when there were a lot to be picked up. Regrettably, that is no longer the case.
My life went in another direction. I became an engineer and had a career in computers. But now, I have inherited all of my dad's rocks and I'm wondering what to do with them. I've decided to try setting up a store here and see if other rockhounds and jewelry makers are interested in my dad's rocks. I have a LOT more agate and jasper than is pictured here. If you're interested in a particular kind of rock, send me a message and ask about it. I much prefer private custom orders because I can cut the shipping costs to a minimum and get you exactly the rock you want. I love to message with folks.
About the store name: Kinesava is the Paiute God of mischief and tricks. It's also the name of the mountain directly above my house.
