Utah Agatized Barite is a fossil -
This specimen shows why
Utah Agatized Barites are agate nodules where silica has replaced the original barium sulfate crystal nodule. See my blog about Utah Agatized Barite: O. G. Wottafossil !!! On some samples, the barium sulfate crystal tops can't be seen at all. With this specimen, the pseudomorph of the original (now replaced with agate) barite crystals show clearly. An example of an actual (not replaced with agate) barium sulfate crystal cluster is shown for comparison.
In addition to the striking replacement of the crystals, this one also has some agate banding in the center.
Few Utah Agatized Barites can be found for sale on the web anyway. I doubt that you're ever going to see another one like this.
