Chunks of Utah's Rare "Irish Colored" Plasma -- A RARE Utah Jasper
You get both rocks if you order this.
This is one of the most beautiful types of Utah jasper that exists. There's none out there in the desert to be picked up now because it's one of those deposits where a very limited amount was there in the beginning and it was easy to pick up. That's exactly what happened -- half a century ago. I have never seen it for sale anywhere else. (If you have, please let me know.)
I believe this rock was ejected out of a volcano as gobbets of molten tuff. For this reason, large pieces are non-existant and it's always relatively flat disks of jasper. The minerals where it was replaced makes most of it green on the outside and often orange to rusty red on the inside. One of these pieces is almost all green and the other is almost all orange. If you need a rock with the two colors mixed, send me a message.
The rocks offered is in the first pictures. The others are just there to illustrate what can be done with the rock. The mounted cab was made by my dad and isn't for sale -- yet.
