Sized to make them easier to work with.

Over 4 1/2 Pounds of Agate

YOU GET THE EXACT ROCKS PICTURED !

One of the prettiest rocks to be found in south east Utah is known by the horrible name, Pigeon Blood agate. I have no idea who thought up that name but I wish they had picked something more appealing.

These rocks are sized so you can cut and polish them with a smaller rocksaw. You don't need a professional rig to get great results. Or, you can polish them in a tumbler. Or ... You can carve them with a rotary tool like a Dremel tool. If you decide to do that please send me pictures of your creation!  I'd love to feature it here.

(Suggestion: Carve a large button for something like a warm wool scarf. It would look great!)

I wrote an essay at the KinesavaROCKS blog all about three types of Utah Pigeon Blood Agate. You can read it at ...

Three Agates in One

The first picture is the entire pile and the others are the rocks photographed in more detail. The polished pieces are examples of what can be done with Pigeon Blood agate, not the pieces offered for sale.
